Biotic Factors

Heterotrophs of Peru-


Marmosets. Strongly seen, with over 300 species in Peru.

Jaguars. One of Peru's most feared animals in the wild.

 

Poison Dart Frog. One of the Rainforests most deadly and poisonous creatures.

Sloths. Regularly seen in rainforest canopy.


Boomslang and Boa Constrictor. Snakes acquire a majority of the amphibian species in Peru's Rainforests.

Victoria Amazonica (Giant Water Lily) is located in the lagoons in the Peruvian Rainforests and can grow up to a meter in diameter.(Always in bloom)
 
Ceiba Pentandra (Lupuna Tree) provides shelter and food for various sorts of wildlife who thrive in the Rainforest.

Heliconia are mid sized flora and are located all throughout the Amazon. There are over 100 species of this plant.( Always in bloom)

Cattleya are Purple or bright Blue or Yellow plants growing vastly and are most widely loved for their leaves. (Always in bloom)

Dracula Vampire Orchid is vast growing and known for their blood red appearance. (Always in bloom)

Wind Patterns in Peru
Southeast trade winds cause whats called the Ekman Spiral, this kills many fish on Peru's coast.
The Ekman Spiral is an upwelling of nutrient filled waters to rise.
